How pultrusion works
Pultrusion is a continuous process. Glass fibre is soaked in resin and pulled through a heated die, so every profile has the same cross-section from end to end. The resin protects against the environment. The glass gives the strength.

Resin and colour guide
A general guide. For any chemical area, we check the resin with you.
Good chemical resistance, with high physical properties.
For severe corrosion: better resistance to acids and alkalis, and to hydrocarbons and solvents.
For areas that need a fire rating. Meets ASTM E84, with an index under 25.
For handrails.
Standard colours
All our resins have UV absorbers and a surface veil, for extra resistance to chemicals and UV.
Send us the chemical and the temperature, and we'll check the right resin for you.
